About

This is a space for rebuilding. It's for learning what comes next when the dust has settled and the old ways of living no longer fit. A place for finding light in the shadows, and for learning to notice the things that still glow when life feels uncertain.
It’s about finding a faith that is quieter, healthier, and more grounded; learning to care for myself and others with greater intentionality; and slowly rediscovering the small, ordinary things that make life beautiful.
Most of all, it’s about learning to love well again — choosing humility over certainty, compassion over judgment, and grace over fear. It’s the slow, sacred work of putting the pieces back together and becoming, little by little, more fully alive.
“Most of us are scripted to think that life is a game and the purpose of life is to win. This is the way that seems right. But the divine truth is that life is a gift and the purpose of life is to learn to love well.”
— Brian Zahnd
I write about the things that shape that rebuilding: the wounds left by emotional and spiritual abuse, the realities of mental health, the tension between faith and doubt, relationships, self-care, and the sometimes difficult work of unlearning what no longer serves us.
There’s room here for prayers and questions, for ideas and reflections, and the occasional dream. There’s also room for the things that don’t always have neat answers, but are worth sitting with, wondering about, and discovering in their own time.
And there’s room for the ordinary things that keep me grounded and curious about the world: family, movies, audiobooks, music, journaling, cooking, photography, football, OSINT, and the many adventures along the way.
Because sometimes the light isn’t found in some grand revelation, but in the ordinary moments that remind us that life is still worth noticing: a good conversation, a photograph, a song, a walk outside, a meal shared with family, a story that stays with you, or the quiet realisation that, despite everything, you’re still here.
In the end, this is simply a record of life as it is: the difficult bits, the curious bits, the messy bits, the beautiful bits, and hopefully, some of the good bits too. A little light found in the ordinary...
